2024 Mount Moriac Reserve Pinot Noir

The vineyard’s first Reserve Pinot is made up of a carefully selected range of the best barrels from across 3 of our 5 individual blocks of Pinot Noir. It shows dark cherry and red berry fruit with underlying spice and savoury earth. The palate is finely structured, with measured concentration, firm yet polished tannins, and natural acidity carrying flavour and length.
This is a wine that really talks to the unique profile of our soil – rich and complex – reflecting the old volcanic soils accessed by 25 year old vines.
Wine notes
All Pinot Noir blocks in 2024 were hand picked and individually fermented, with 20% whole bunch inclusion adding an additional layer of flavour. Thirty percent of the Reserve components were matured for 12 months in new French oak with the remainder aged in older barrels.
